Forty Two to offer live custom t-shirt printing at Liquicity Festival, donating 20% of revenue to charity

Reading-based sustainable fashion brand Forty Two will partner with Liquicity Festival in Hyde Park, London, from May 28th-30th, to offer live, on-site customisation of official Liquicity merchandise. Festival atdtendees can have personal designs or photos printed alongside the Liquicity logo onto t-shirts, with 20% of all revenue donated to the "Ethical Factories" charity. This initiative marks the first time a UK festival has offered fully customised, officially branded merchandise with a one-hour turnaround for collection.

Forty Two will operate three printing machines at Liquicitdy Festival, enabling attendeeees to upload their own artwork or photos for direct printing onto t-shirts, which will also feature the official Liquicity logo. Each custom t-shirt will be processed and ready for collection within approximately one hour, providing a unique, personalised souvenir of the festival experience. This event is positioned as the first in the UK to offer customisable, officially branded festival t-shirts with such a rapid, on-site turnaround. "Our goal is to demonstrate how fashion can be both personal and responsible," says ROBBIT – BObby, Head of Operations at Forty Two. "By bringing our print-on-demand model directly to Liquicity, we're not only offering a unique, tangible memory for festival-goers but also actively contributing to ethical manufacturing practices. Our methods, which utilize GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled polyester, achieve a 95% reduction in water usage compared to traditional garment manufacturing, setting a new standard for sustainable production." Beyond the customisation, 20% of all income generated from these sales will be donated to "Ethical Factories," a charity dedicated to securing fair pay for workers in sweatshops. Festival-goers will also gain insight into Forty Two's sustainable printing process, seeing first-hand how high-quality, eco-friendly apparel is made on demand.

Trend context

The Liquicity Festival activation by Forty Two directly addresses the growing consumer preference for experiences over material goods, a key driver of the "Experiential Retail Becomes the Standard" trend for 2026. By offering live, on-site customisation and a transparent view of the production process, Forty Two transforms a transactional purchase into an immersive, memorable brand experience. This approach builds a direct emotional connection with customers, moving beyond traditional retail models to create community and engagement through interactive events.
